In the Second Katsushika Health Achievement Plan formulated in March 2019, Katsushika City set the goal of promoting improved health and preventing lifestyle diseases among all residents.
To achieve this goal, the city is working to popularize “walking” as a trigger for improving health in order to have everyone, from younger generations to the elderly, form an exercise habit, and various departments have collaborated to create a walking map and to develop projects making use of the walking map.
