Bunkyo City is supporting active lifestyles at every age with programs that encourage people to make walking a habit for a lifetime of healthy movement. Anyone—regardless of age, gender, or lifestyle—can get take up walking. Plus, walking around your neighborhood or exploring the routes on your way to work or school is a great way to discover local gems that you never knew about before!
To help people get the most out of their walking routines, we’ve prepared walking maps of the area and have begun holding walking workshops. We hope that these and other initiatives inspire more people to make walking a habit, improving their health and quality of life in the process.

We’re holding workshops as well as walking events at various historical sites and other points of interest around the city.
■2021 events 《Date》November 14,2021 (Sunday) Two sessions (morning and afternoon) 《Details》 This sports-themed event took participants on a tour of several points of interest around the city, including the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, the Japan Football Museum, and other athletic facilities and related historical sites. The three-hour walking event was included a brief pre-departure health check, including blood pressure and vascular age, thanks to support from Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Company and Ito En. The local Sports Promotion Committee provided guidance on proper walking technique as well. 《Number of participants》 45 |
