Know to Prepare. Prevention of Food Poisoning in the Event of a Disaster
After a disaster, it is difficult to secure good hygienic circumstances due to different reasons including the lack of water or hygiene products, thus food poisoning cases have occurred at evacuation centers in the past because of the condition of foods provided.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has created guideline leaflets on preventing food poisoning.
Leaflet “Know to prepare. Prevention of food poisoning in the event of a disaster” (Published in July 2019)
The leaflet provides summarized points for preventing food poisoning while in an evacuation situation, examples of hygiene products to be stocked in your home, and points for hand washing and sanitizing your hands and fingers.
Know the prevention measures for food poisoning in the evacuation life in advance to prepare for disasters.
